Have you or anyone in your agency come across any traps set up at abandoned locations?

r/

Recently came across a Instagram page that has survival style content with trip wires and booby traps setup within microwaves and other applications. Then i recalled a old video with a house flipper/someone exploring found a booby trap.

Have y’all ever witnessed some wild stuff as such by some squatter or tweaker setting something up as such or any stories similar to that of posing such a danger?

These kinds of things are way more likely to mess up a curious kid doing some urban exploring or a homeless person looking for a dry place to sleep. The only thing I ever ran across was early warning traps like cans or bells on tripwires at marijuana grows back when they were still a thing. They were pretty rare, probably got annoying when they warned them about every deer and black bear traveling through the area every night.
