I’ve a dad and all he did was yell, no hate just how it was. I saw a photo just now of UFC champ Alex Volkanovaki hugging his dad who also kissed him on his cheek, and I never had even hugs. Wonder if an affectionate dad is a rarity. I don’t even remember him playing with me and my brother, last time was when I was 4 and he was drunk and I expected him to beat us but he started tickling us instead.
Have you people had a present father in your lives?

Nope. Had a piece of human garbage for a step dad. It’s not all bad though because I’m very successful as a father by doing pretty much the opposite of everything he did. My kids are successful and happily raising their own young families. I’m proud to notice a lot of myself in their parenting. Good or bad expierences are all building blocks if you choose to look at them like that.
