He 39M cheated on me 39F how do I overcome the hurt of seeing them have sex

r/

We met almost 2 years ago, we have similar jobs so we understand our hectic schedule. We see each other every weekend from Friday through Sunday, we both work 5 days a week. This Fourth of July weekend I went over his house like usual and we have plans to have dinner with his mom and sister. I’ve met his whole family and his kids. He received FaceTime while I was over and it went downhill from there, he admitted to cheating on me and handed me his phone. I saw the sex videos and pictures and texts messages, I called her to ask how long it’s been going on and she said about 8 months. We were at the parking lot where we were meeting his family. I left with his mom to his apt and grabbed my things and left, I’ve blocked him on everything and deleted his number. Oh and the girl claimed she didn’t know about me and also said he got her pregnant and made her get an abortion in December. We had a fight in December and in January he left for a week, turns out he went out of the country with her. I’m beyond hurt and devastated, sorry for the format or jumbled writing. I have no friends or family to talk to. I know time heals but it’s hurting really bad rn. How can I overcome this hurt?

You can’t make that pain disappear. What makes you want to stay? He’s been cheating almost half the time you’ve been together…

For the moment its probably going to be hard next to impossible. Time, distraction, surrounding yourself with good things

Wow, this is. Not something that will be easy to get over. There’s no “easy way” of getting through this. Having no one to talk to might make this a bit harder too. Do you keep in contact with your family?

It hurts now and it’s normal, it’s part of the healing process. Only time will show you he wasn’t that important, and that you better off without him.

I believe there’s a subreddit called surviving infidelity, or something like that? You may be able to find a community there. I am so sorry OP, you will heal with time. ❤️

Something that I read the other day really put in perspective what it’s like to lose a lover or partner that you had deep feelings for.. it’s literally the same as grieving the loss of a loved one. Time will help but no instant fixed for this.

Exercise self-love a journal about how you feel or whatever you want. All great ideas to start this process. Good luck you’ll get through it.
