Hello, I need advice please. 37M. My wife (28F) is having mental issues and dealing with postpartum. We have a 5 month old daughter.
We had to move back into my parent’s place for financial reasons. About 2 weeks ago my wife had a mental break and self baker acted.
She has been verbally, mentally and emotionally abusive towards me. She is lying to family and friends, saying my family and I have been abusing her.
She took off with my child last night and left with her ex-husband. I don’t know where she is staying, where is she is sleeping or what is happening with my daughter.
My wife needs help from my mother to take care of my daughter – my wife doesn’t even bathe our daughter alone and I’m worried.
What can I do to see get custody of my child as soon as possible? I am going to the court tomorrow.

You are married and it’s you/her child, so it isn’t custody unless you are filing for divorce already. You need a temp restraining order against your wife. Just tell the truth to the judge. Hopefully your mother can go as well. It should be approved based on the Baker Act. If not, make sure you get CPS involved to intrvene. This will likeey happen regardless.
