Help getting that “glow” back

r/

Hey all!

I’ve been looking at some old photos from a few years ago and couldn’t help but notice how much more radiant and vibrant my skin use to be. A few years later (and a couple of kids later), and my skin seems more aged and duller. Anyone have any recommendations for creams they swear by to bring back more vibrant and youthful skin?

    Have you tried Tretinoin?

I try to keep my routine simple and with as few products as I can. I went down a rabbit hole on TikTok and started buying all the products I would see getting recommended and that resulted on massive break outs and acne. Now I’m dealing with the aftermath of using unnecessary things to bring my skin back to what it was.
With that being said, I think you can’t go wrong with just a facial cleanser for the shower, moisturizer, hyaluronic acid and sunscreen.

Get good sleep, hydrate, eat healthy, reduce stress, wear sunscreen. Those are the best ways to keep skin looking good.

For me: wash morning and night. In the morning I just use salicylic foaming cleanser. At night I use ponds cream to remove makeup then wash with the foaming cleanser. I use cerave and la roche posay lotions.

I did the above until my barrier was healed and my skin didn’t hurt anymore. I built up to using light exfoliants but daily (COSRX blackhead liquid, thayers snow mushroom toner and about 2x a week I use The AHA BHA PHA LHA peel from COSRX).
and then a moisturizer essence from pyunkang (I think) and then moisturizer and sunscreen if no makeup. If makeup I use a color correcting sunscreen (pink) mixed with a tinted moisturizer that is too yellow for me. Then makeup ! Hope this helps.

FWIW I have extremely fair, dry , sensitive and acne prone skin. Remember water (also no booze helps more than anything else I’ve tried) good luck!

Weightlifting, water, sunscreen, no alcohol, good sleep, and tretinoin
