As the title states,
I’m filling out my PHQ for a couple local departments and they are requiring to list all tickets even if dismissed. When I was a teenager I accumulated a couple tickets. I ordered my certified/complete driving record from my local DMV but as expected, my old traffic citations don’t appear because they were dismissed. How do I go about listing them if I don’t remember dates/ or what exactly they were for? I want to do things correct and I’m not trying to hide them just not sure how to go about it. Any help from some LEO’s here would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

In my case, DMV equivalent where the offense occurred still had records. I was able to obtain that by being polite and honest over the phone (I am applying for a job with the police and I need to complete a section in the application that asks for…..). They were not supposed to release records that old. Speeding tickets from when I was 16. Enough speeding tickets that I got a suspension 😬
List any you can with as much details as you can remember. If all you can remember is what the tickets were for, and nothing else, it’s better to just give an estimate on the date.
It doesn’t matter what your DMV print out shows, you need to disclose everything unless they tell you to exclude certain time periods.
LEO’s need to be as accurate and detailed as possible. Your PHQ, is the first test on whether you can do so.
“I don’t remember,” should not be in an LEO’s vocabulary.
