Recently purchased a home. Inspection went well. House is older but the problems were manageable.
A month later I started to get water flowing out of the ground in the basement. Water rushing into the garage. Flooding throughout the yard. I’ve been finding mold in the home that we’re not in visible places. And sink holes forming around the property. I’ve been hospitalized due to the mold. And upon that, I got know my neighbors well, and found these were problems the previous owner faced, to the point where they attempted several lawsuits on every neighboring property. Claiming everything above, including stating harm to the family from mold. I now have in my possession those suits.
The seller did not disclose this, and every box was a no. The agent is a family friend, and was more involved in the sale of this home, including hiring people to clean and fix the property for over a year, until listing.
I am in the process of moving out of the home. The agents company is large, and the few lawyers I found that specialize in this have conflicts of interest. I’m in need of some options on where this might be something to deal with legally, or just fire sale the property.
