Lethal caffeine dose
Just like any stimulant it’s bad for your circulatory system. It can raise your blood pressure, increase your heart rate and the risk of arrhythmias. Over time the high blood pressure can become permanent and lead to cardiomyopathy.
It can cause a fatal cardiac arrhythmia.
Energy drinks contain a lot of sugar (with all the normal health problems that entails) plus large doses of stimulants like caffeine. This is what gives the energising effect, but in excess it can lead to anxiety, sleep problems, high blood pressure, and abnormal heartrate or rhythm.
Sugar and salt overload
A fitness influencer, reportedly 28 years old, recently passed away after consuming three energy drinks a day along with caffeine pills before workouts. She suffered a heart attack, which led to brain damage due to a lack of oxygen reaching her brain.
Energy drinks don’t contain energy (unless you talk about sugar).
