How do I break up with someone Who has done nothing wrong?

r/

I have been with my currently girlfriend for a year. We are having a perfect relationship, We havent had a single fight or discussion. I have several reasons to terminate with her but no of them are cause of her and I dont want her to feel its because of something she has done and I Just dont have the balls to tell her. What is the most humane way to break up and finish this in good terms?

Ending it when nothing’s broken feels heartless but dragging love past its truth is even colder. Be honest because kindness without truth is just delay dressed as mercy.

Be honest and kind. Let her know it’s not about her but about where you are emotionally it’s better to be truthful than to stay out of guilt

Damn bro it looks like your idea of love is broken. How do you feel like you want to break up when you haven’t had any serious arguments or problems? You’re cooked.

You want to terminate the relationship, but none of the reasons are because of her? That seems impossible.

    Are you feeling smothered?
    Bored in life?
Scared the relationship will tie you down?
    Pressure to marry?
Lack of sexual or emotional chemistry and connection?

Some of these issues can be fixed, others can’t.

Why do you want to end your “perfect relationship?”

just tell her she’s a great girl, but you just don’t feel like you’re compatible. totally okay for people to not be compatible, it just happens. but she’s still a good person so ask to stay friends? and she doesn’t deserve to stay with someone who isn’t positive they want to be with her.

Be prepared for her to be disappointed, sad, or angry given that the relationship seems to be “perfect.” It hurts when things come out of left field. Sometimes things just aren’t meant to be. Sometimes, someone just doesn’t feel a certain way, and that isn’t a crime, although it may hurt. Sometimes you like someone, and they don’t like you back in the same way. And vice versa. Sooner rather than later for breaking up is best.

Not that you have to avoid dating, but if you’ve been with someone for a substantial amount of time, it is a kindness for them not to see that you’ve moved on to someone else super quickly. Having someone rip your heart out and then finding out that they’ve moved on adds salt to the wound. And avoid social media posts if you want to minimize your current girlfriend’s pain.
