I’ve been struggling w this for a longgggg time and I have yet to figure it out. I try to schedule my maintenance appts around/during this time (thread/wax/pedi) but it’s always something that perceivably isn’t right and I still feel ugly.

I recently started back taking birth control to skip this phase altogether but since I’m on the first pack, it hasn’t helped yet. I don’t know if it Will honestly.

Sorry I don’t have an answer.. but I’ll be lurking the comments to pick up on some tips and tricks.

My diet really impacts on PMS symptoms and period. I have come to realise eating junk food is a disaster for my hormones. I generally try take it easy during lutheal phase and period, I might do a mini facial at home, tint my eyebrows, put on some fake tan and use teeth whitening strips. Also a lot of cuddling, reading and hot water bottles along with an early night.

I got pregnant. So I don’t have to deal with it. 🤣

Nah, in all seriousness, I could never avoid it.. It was just one of those things that happened to me every month. Nothing could stop it. Nothing helped. It just is what it is.

But since being pregnant my skin and hair and stuff has never looked better!

Just acknowledge it to yourself and own the feelings. “It’s luteal phase time! Be kind to myself!” I also have explained this to my partner so he can support me with extra compliments and morale boosting during that time.
