I’m 28m working full-time in sales and lately I’ve been feeling totally drained, mentally and physically but the to-do list just keeps piling up. Work, family stuff, bills, and all that other life crap never seems to give me a break.
Taking a day off to recharge isn’t always possible without feeling guilty or falling behind. So I’m wondering how other guys deal with burnout when they gotta keep showing up every day even when they don’t really wanna.
What’s your way of handling the pressure without losing it? Would love some real talk and any tips that actually work.

It’s sad this is the reality we live in. I know so many people who feel exactly how you feel and I’m scared that after college that will be me too. I would say for the next weeks if you can skip out on some of those responsibilities that arnt as vital and take time to spend in nature and maybe try something new in your life to make things feel different like a new hobby. That’s the best advise I have.
I just realized this is a askmen subreddit oops
Find something to look forward to. Plan a small or big adventure. Doesn’t have to be something big. Concert? Cook a meal in the woods? Whatever floats your boat. Just something to break up the monotony and to look forward to.
If I die, I die.
Stop being guilty for taking a recharge day. You won’t get a badge of honor if you don’t take care of yourself and burn out.
The rest will work itself out. If time is tight you can scale back family stuff. You can get to go meals if you just don’t have it in you.
I woke up early this am feeling like I was freaking done. So I’m working remote for a few hours then taking the rest of the day off. The world will function without me.
When I feel burnout creeping, I go into “survival mode.” Eat basic food, cut the fluff, keep the engine running. You don’t need to thrive every week. Some weeks are about not crashing. And that’s okay.
