How do you feel about a woman who cusses a lot?

r/

Title basically.

Do you feel it’s impolite? Do you even care? Would you tend to stay away, or is it actually a relief to see us express ourselves?

    I don’t care

  2. Winter_Award_1943 Avatar

I think excessive cussing isnt classy for anyone.

  3. Tschudy Avatar

i already swear like a sailor with tourettes. doubt i’d even notice until someone pointed it out

  4. AuthenticTruther Avatar

I would not give a fucking good God damn what the [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] does. 😎

  5. AsbestosNowAnd4Ever Avatar

I find it off-putting. I also think the same about men who cuss a lot.

  6. CaptainBoltagon Avatar

I don’t give a shit, as long as it’s in the appropriate place.

  7. One-Championship-779 Avatar

I swear like sailor so it would be hypocritical, as long as she doesn’t do it around my family members especially the children it’s alright with me.

  8. DowntownSasquatch420 Avatar

Naturally, I sometimes get the impression that she’s impulsive and irrational.

Other other hand, a girl who very rarely swears or only in certain situations, is a major turn on.

  9. romeoinacoma Avatar

In the words of my grandma, who took no shit from no man.

“What’s good for the goose, is good for the gander.”

  10. klc81 Avatar

Don’t give a shit either way.

  11. DreadfulRauw Avatar

I don’t give a shit as long as they know when it is and isn’t appropriate.

  12. Longjumping-Oil-7419 Avatar

Depends on if it’s in fun or out of anger

  13. Logical-Kangaroo5995 Avatar

It’s the person!! NOT the cursing/swearing. Can’t judge someone on that alone.

  14. Mythnam Avatar

I guess some people think a normal amount of cussing is “a lot” when a woman does it, but anyone can overdo it on the cussing. If you cuss when it’s not warranted, it’s not a huge deal, but it’s a little grating on the nerves after a while, no matter who’s doing it.

  15. Fiddler-4823 Avatar

In public. Dont love it, at home in private whatever.

  16. little_runner_boy Avatar

As long as she knows her surroundings, I don’t give a flying fuck. Alone when it’s us, don’t care. Around my grandpa in his 90s or out grocery shopping and there’s a little kid nearby, she should do better

  17. Prettychilledoutguy Avatar

I love to be friends with her. Those ladies are awesome.

  18. Cross_22 Avatar

I try to stay away from people who cuss. Being female doesn’t make it any better or worse.

  19. MindfulNorthwest Avatar

For me personally, I don’t mind cussing but if it’s a lot then it’d turn me off.

  20. Ill-Consequence5310 Avatar

Dont like men or women who cuss a LOT

  21. GrowlyBear2 Avatar

My wife swears a lot. I don’t swear at all. She does her, and I do me.

  22. Outrageous-Meal-7068 Avatar

    Doesn’t bother me at all.

  23. Accurate_Brief_1631 Avatar

Depends on the situation or location and whether or not it’s combined with proper English. To me, there’s a big difference if someone is cussing to emphasize a point and otherwise has a diverse vocabulary versus just being uneducated or not very bright and having no other vocabulary to fill in.

  24. werewolf4money Avatar

Some cursing is normal, but a relentless stream all day everyday that will get old quickly

  25. cdude Avatar

Swearing is fine, excessive swearing takes away any emphasis and just makes you sound trashy.

  26. RedZingo Avatar

    I married her!

We met when I was in the Navy, and I definitely have a sailor’s mouth, so it wasn’t exactly a hard pill for me to swallow. We’ve toned it down since starting our family, and we’ve both always been capable of speaking without swearing in mixed company. We belong together and our colorful language is one of the many reasons why.

  27. Terrible-Novel-7098 Avatar

    Hate it. Total turn off.

  28. senan_orso Avatar

As long as she’s respectful of the environment and mindful of others then I do not care. For instance no cursing around small children – I find that disrespectful and distasteful.

At home and it’s just us or age appropriate family/friends? I don’t give a fuck as long as she’s not cussing at me

  29. macallen Avatar

Gender doesn’t matter to me, and it depends. The quote from Bull Durham comes to mind, “you win 50 in the show, then you can let the fungus grow on your shower shoes, and you’re colorful. Otherwise you’re just a slob.”

A person (man or woman) who cusses a lot and is also ignorant, uneducated, unemployed, is just an asshole. One who is successful and cusses is just colorful, at least to me.

  30. ra__account Avatar

The distinguishing thing is whether she cusses about stuff or about people. If someone, regardless of gender, is always going on about how many people in their life are assholes, it gets tedious. But saying shit when stubbing a toe is no big deal to me.

  31. ThunderLizardX Avatar

I cuss a lot so I don’t care. Obviously, time and place and knowing when not to do it. But if it’s just us? I don’t care.

  32. MontEcola Avatar

It depends on the setting. Knowing how to behave in polite company is essential. That pretty much means they can swear all they want around me, I guess. /s.

Feeding animals on a farm, playing sports, working construction or something like that and it is all normal. It does not bother me in those settings.

  33. AskDerpyCat Avatar

    I don’t mind swear words

But I mind when people inject them unnecessarily as “speech filler”. To me, anyone who swears to an “excessive” degree comes across as… a bit “trashy”, for lack of a better word.

At best it’s a sign of limited vocabulary. At worst, it’s a sign of poor emotional regulation.

  34. Just4MTthissiteblows Avatar

Women who cuss a lot tend to be more liberal, less uptight. Women who cuss a lot and suck at it just sound stupid. I’m reminded of my ex describing stuff as “the damn stupid ass shit” when she was frustrated

  35. EveryDisaster7018 Avatar

Depends on when it happens. Cussing because you stubbed your little toe. Fully understandable no issues. Cussing at a waiter because he gave her diet coke instead of coke zero. Not so much, very unappealing. And not all cuss words are treated equally.

  36. Ok-Finish5110 Avatar

I could give less of a shit as long as its not threatening violence or harm.

  37. Wonderful_Belt4626 Avatar

I do not swear in front of ladies, I treat all of them with dignity and respect, if they choose to lower that bar, how can I respect them.
The least they can do is have a sense of décorum

  38. qqby6482 Avatar

    You mean mom?

  39. Argentarius1 Avatar

As long as she knows when not to like with kids or professional settings I’m fine.

  40. 5ft6manlet Avatar

Depends when and where you cuss.

  41. Angry_GorillaBS Avatar

    I don’t care.

Good thing I don’t cause she ain’t likely to stop lol

  42. BobbyThrowaway6969 Avatar

Personally I’m not really a fan of swearing, not my cup of tea

The fuck you talking about, man?

  44. honesto_pinion Avatar

It’s crude and a sign of stupidity and classlessness in both women and men.
