Why stress over things you can’t change. Focus that energy on making the most of the future.

Can’t change the past. Stoicism and a deterministic understanding of existence helps

Honestly ,I struggle with mine daily. The shit storm of bad decisions and the implications are something I have a hard time with .I have learnt to mentally shuffle certain thoughts aside ,but this is usually a temporary thing for me .Councilling has helped though.

Work to deeply understand the causes of the actions leading to your regrets, work on fixing the causes, and go on with your life. Make amends where you’ve hurt others. Be prepared to be the bad guy in somebody’s story.

Guilt is just an alarm telling you to change so whatever caused it doesn’t happen again. I don’t feel guilt if I’ve made adjustments to behaviors.

Regret is just imagining the best case scenario of an alternative future.

Maybe you regret not buying bitcoin. But maybe if you had, you’d have spent a few extra minutes doing that, left the house a few minutes later, and been in a horrible accident that you missed because you didn’t buy.

We only see the one path we took. Not the billions we didn’t.

By understand that you are a creation based on a collection of events throughout time. Everything no matter how big or small it’s a Lego in your life. If you look at everything as “lessons” instead of regrets life gets so much easier

By recognizing it as experience. Given what you know now, of course you would make different decisions throughout life if given the chance to change things. If you wouldn’t, you’re either a liar, a fool, or very happy with your life and don’t want to risk the things you got right.
