how do you handle days when you feel emotionally exhausted ?

Some days, I feel completely drained emotionally, even if nothing “big” happened. How do you recharge when you feel this way?

    Stay home.

    Take a nice shower, put on my comfies, rot on the couch with netflix and my dog. And I ain’t going nowhere.

    I’m emotionally exhausted every day. 🙃

    I dunno really, just get through it anyway and try to find a few things that are comforting or make me laugh or at least distract me (music, podcast, TV show or film, reading, etc.) and ask my husband for lots of hugs and cuddles.

    I’m emotionally exhausted from my previous relationship and Iv been staying home, removing people that could possibly give me stress, working out a bit, cooking and smoking my tree. Enjoy the peace till I’m ready to be out there.

    Poorly. It’s one thing I am really working on is allowing myself to feel my feelings and not punishing myself for it by self isolating/freezing. Where I run into difficulties is it feels like a lot of “self care” involves spending money. And that feels like a bad habit as well. So, I am trying to explore things like creating art, listening to music, reading, and just plain old napping.

    Take a very long, hot bath with a bath bomb, a candle, a book and some light jazz playing. I’ll stay in there for an hour sometimes.

    Generally fake it until I’ve got the kids in bed and then ugly cry.

    Emotionally exhausted = stay away from the phone, it will make it worse

    Honestly I’ve severely neglected my kids today. They’ve had lots of snacks and screentime and I’ve slept on the sofa for large portions of the day

    Pray about it and read a chapter of the Bible or a few verses that reminds me of the joy Christ gives. Go to the gym, play pickle ball, go out for a walk, nap, movie, go out and do something with bf if we have time that day! Wish I had time for all of the above but it’s usually just one or two things that I can fit into my schedule.
