I’m 35 and have come to the realization that I really need more friends. I have a close group of best friends from college, but we are spread out and don’t see each other that much.
I have three kids so I’d love to make friends with other working parents I just find it so hard to make the leap from casual acquaintances to actual real friends.

I was lucky, I found a Facebook page dedicated to making friends in my city. You could try a service like Timeleft. They put together tables of people who have common interests for dinner.

You will meet like minded people for sure.
I joined a hiking group and have some great friends from there. Also, go on several yoga retreats a year and have met some amazing people.
FB groups have worked best for me! My area has multiple girlfriends or ladies of ___ groups that have been great! Or groups that have my interest, like hiking groups and such.
echoing everyone about social groups! i’ve made some new friends through an instagram group of women in my city. the key to going from acquaintance to friend is to just really put yourself out there.. find a couple girls from the group you click with, exchange numbers, and actually hit them up to schedule plans.
