Once your thread has run its course, instead of deleting it, you can simply type “!lock” (without the quotes) as a comment anywhere in your thread to have our Automod lock the thread. That way you won’t be bothered by anymore replies on it, but people can still read it.
And yeah, just find common ground and see if they want to hang out. Easiest would be to go to a show or a sporting event. If they’re a friend of a friend, invite the friend along and have fun.
Shared interests. There were some guys I thought were great and some that were OK. Went hiking with them, and that really changed my mind on what I like about people.

I’m my experience? Relentlessly make fun of them. If they’re cool with it, you’re friends. If not, then probably not. Goes both ways, though.

invite them to grab food or a beer after work one day (even if they work at a different place).
Then if the vibes are right, that usually ends with us deciding to do something else together and boom we’re friends now
