    90s Shakira was better 🤷‍♂️

Personally? She’s really boring and obnoxious.

The average people? They either like her or tolerate her.

She’s an artist, period. Here, we don’t tend to make them into idols and delude ourselves into believing everything she does is good/bad. She doesn’t really live here, so she’s not really involved with our politics, so she doesn’t tend to have too many haters.

Personally I respect her a lot because despite being born here, she isn’t really milking the "Oh poor me I was born in a poor country" she achieved her stardom and never felt the need to keep reminding people to either sympathize or feel like a kindred spirit of the poor person.

We like her, I personally think she’s amazing, but Colombians can also be the biggest critics of Shakira.

Better that Escobar as a topic when someone think of Colombia, pretty useful overall in our image, music was better before tho.

Depends on who you ask, some people in Barranquilla practically worship her

Following up on this, aside from Shakira, who else might be considered among Colombia’s most famous or iconic musicians? Karol G (present day)? Or is she just your average pop star of the moment? Curious mostly about the ones who aren’t particularly famous in the Anglosphere.

Personally I’ve never liked her music so I don’t really care much for her
