First, the panic. Then the panic fatigue. I just thought: everyone on the beach is busy with themselves, no one counts my folds. Then the first time in a bikini – and… nothing terrible happened. Confidence came when I stopped waiting to be “perfect” and just started being present.
actually, it was the other way around for me. I’ve always worn bikinis, since I was a toddler. then I switched to swimmer’s swimsuits because, well, weight-gain, and oh boy, I felt so self conscious. it was like I was this huge, glowing billboard. but I loved my new blue-white striped swimsuit very much so I just took a leap of faith, basically.
Yes lol. I’ve been wearing two pieces all my life. It’s the one that covers your tummy/stomach. I’ve recently transitioned to a two piece that doesn’t cover the tummy.
The only thing Idk if I’ll be brave enough for is a thong or even the ones that show most of your cheeks. But idk the older I am the more I’m like why not show a little cheek? 😂
I noticed how many people wear these swimsuits with many different body types and realized that I have nothing to be shy about and no one will care about me. And if it does, it’s not my problem
Look at other people out there enjoying their life in two piece bathing suits that are also not super models or fit or thin and realize I don’t care about them wearing one, which means no one really cares about me wearing one. The only person that matters is you. Find one you like and just go live your life. That’s what I started doing.

It’s just what I always wore, ever since I can remember.

Honestly I just got so tired of hating my body and being uncomfortable in a wet suit that clung to my stomach.
This is a really interesting question to me. Here in Spain, a two piece is the more modest decision as opposed to going topless.
