The same as in every other country: money laundering, purchasing illegal goods and services, and gambling
It isn’t. Not by normal people anyway, maybe shady people use it for illegal stuff, I wouldn’t know.
Conventions to talk about it, mostly. I’ve seen a couple of corner stores that also take btc in the touristic neighborhoods.
I’m a user but in daily life no one uses crypto for purchases.

It’s not. Several years ago there was a payment processor that could accept it (khipu) but they don’t anymore. Chile has Buda which is an exchange, I have seen a few bitcoin ATMs, Mercado Libre is little bit in that space now, but yeah I don’t think any significant amount of people are using it for daily transactions.

It’s not used by anyone I know, and the only accepted currency here is the Quetzal.
And no, I’m not in favor of its use. It’s just an easy way to launder money and avoid taxes. Only a white-collar criminal or a libertard would support it, and over time, it’s getting harder to tell the difference between the two.

It’s pretty common for young people in my country to use Binance. Lots of stores have it, and even Yummy Rides, the most popular taxi app, lets you pay with Binance (though using dollars is still more common).
