I have a couple of Katana and an old Spanish sword with some Spanish writing on the blade. It’s got a curved blade, I believe it’s a cutlass style blade but not 100% sure if that’s right.
I have like 13. My hobby is bladesmithing…. so it’s obvious as to why.
Most are single edged falchion style blades with a few different guards, handle material, etc.
I do have an arming sword I made, a katana inspired modern sword, a sword version of a Bowie knife, and even a Cinquedea with messed up fullers that I kind of screwed up the grinding for.
I’ve a black-out naga machete sword. 22” blade with a square-ish tip. Shyte for stabbing, but it has gone thru a 2 3/8” walnut dowel with a single swing.
I have a replica of Sting from LOTR, a large sword with a basket hilt that I won in a raffle when I was young (it’s real but looks ceremonial more than functional), plus an authentic sword/bayonet from a 1891 German rifle.
I have one katana from my edgy teenage days that sits in a closet somewhere and a HEMA nylon bladed sparring longsword in a different closet. Not in a place with HEMA clubs around at the moment
What kind of fucking loser would have a sword? What you gonna do, fantasize about someone breaking into your home and finally being able to use it?
Anyways, I own two. One is a samurai sword I bought off amazon because ….well I was 16 at the time. The other is a Zelda sword that I want to say was for a Halloween costume, but in reality I was wanting it for 2 years prior.
I keep a machete in the driver side of my truck. For emergencies. But seriously it’s an invaluable tool when you do the kind of outdoor stuff we like to do. It comes in handy more often than you’d think. Splitting logs. Fire poker. Shovel. Sand stake. Snow stake. Spatula. I do have a home defense axe though.
It’s about 20 right now. I got into forging about 8 years back. They are sold during the 4th of July folk festival. I will likely have 5 more and 30 knives by time the the 4th rolls around.
Khyber sword from Afghan army. I also have a Golok machete from Duluth that is a serious hallway chopper. I keep that one next to my bed in case of problems.
I have a cheap one from Amazon when I was buying something and it was cheaper to increase the total price to the point of free shipping, than to just pay the price of shipping
I have a gladius I made for Latin class with my dad back in high school, metal and wood and the only reason I passed. I also have a number of cosplay swords I’ve made.
Woman here, have to answer this one. Several katanas, a couple of bokkens, a custom made hand and a half sword an ex made me for my 16th birthday, several rubber practice foils/epees/sabres, several actual fencing weapons, and a dancing sword… might be more. Also have a suit of custom armor, fencing gear… why yes, former hard suit fighter here, why do you ask?
Only wood ones, but I want to get a foil (I fence in college) and I would love a medieval Scottish long sword. Sun wants a katana, daughter wants one of every sword
I have a bastard sword, a katana, wakizashi, a walking stick hidden dual sword. And a parrying dagger as well as a dozen other knives and a double blade throwing axe and throwing knives.
It was my grandad’s but I don’t remember where it is in my house.
It’s gigantic, I think a great sword or claymore. The hilt has Christian crosses on either side and the sheath is leather and has a strap.
It’s extremely old and would be useless in a fight in its current condition. I don’t know where he got it and I barely remember how it came under my possession.
My grandfather was in WW1 and 2 and was a drunk a-hole. Other than that, I know nothing about him.
I have a sword in my bedroom. I met a man in Scotland, and after several discussions he learned that I was a descendant of Sir Collin Campbell. He told be that if I could send him a list of my important family male members (proving who I was) He would send me a free sword. I know what you are thinking – I did not send him any info on living relatives. He send me a beautiful Dragon etched sword . I’ve had it for 6 years now.
I got one in my daughter’s old bedroom from when she was on a King Aurther kick in high school years ago. I think the kind would be an English broadsword, but it has a highly decorative hilt and pommel, I do not know any brand, It was just a phase she went through it came from a trader’s mall made in China.
Iaido practitioner and former medieval reenactor so, a few katana, couple iaito, bokken, blunted longswords, daggers, rapiers, and some sparring-grade lightsabers.
Wifey and I both have swords. We met and married while serving in the Marine Corps. When I was promoted to Corporal, my brother and cousins pitched in and got me an NCO sword. The Marine Corps is a family tradition. When wifey picked up Corporal, my brother and I got her one.
Rapier, feder, and messer for sparring, blunt longsword for solo practice, and a crappy fantasy ren faire sword I bought when I was 10. Longsword, arming sword, and montante (all for sparring) are ordered and will arrive over the next year.
Andúril, a rapier, a short sword, a wooden cheesy decoration sword and the dagger I got my wife for our first Christmas together.
Andúril was also a gift to her for this Christmas and she was the one who took initiative to get the others. She likes swords, d&d, tan and green decorative themes and reading fantasy. Honestly I don’t know what I did to get her but I hope I never stop.
When I was about 15 years old, my mom took me to a blade expo. We saw this basket hilted broadsword on display for $100, and my mom said, “If you don’t get it now, you’ll never find a finer sword at that price.” So I got it!
(The sword is one-handed, and the basket hilt makes it heavy as hell to use, but it’s well balanced and battle ready.)
Got about 6 swords and 2 bayonets a razor sharp Cold Steel machete, 3 hatchets, and a double headed throwing hatchet on and a razor sharp Kershaw Camp 10.
The swords are just knockoffs most at just wall hangers.
I have at least 12-14 pocket knives.
There is one sword I really want and have wanted since Star Trek TNG season 4 Episode 7: Reunion. The Klingon Batl’leth. Which aired on November 5, 1990.
Oh, I used to. The first sword I had when I was a kid was kinda like a Spanish rapier sword that I got from Vegas. Then, I got a set of cheap katanas from a friend’s uncle. Then, I bought a replica of Sting from Lord of the Rings. Then, through purchases and gifts, I had a bunch of military bayonets and a bowie knife. My most cherished bayonet was an antique from the turn of the century, but it got stolen. All my other bayonets and bladed items were given to friend since my wife didn’t want them in the house. So… yeah. I used to.
One cheap Highlander katana, one Prussian cavalry sabre, one replica bastard sword (low quality but still better than the Highlander sword) and a turn of the century small sword
I have several…katana x 2, saber, Ninja-to. For good measure I also have a morning star. One katana is a home made abomination my dad brought back from Vietnam.
For the moment, I have two lightsabers, but I’m getting married soon and I put a sword on our registry. Here’s hoping there’s at least one cool person among the people I’ve invited
So I have swords. One is a gladius that I got as a military award when I belonged to a unit with the moniker “Centurions”. One is a scimitar I use for ren fairs. Two are training swords my ex left when she moved out (she was into martial arts. Also left me a ton of Bo staves). One is somewhere between a longsword and a 2h sword. It’s sharp but it’s crap steel and I own it because it looks cool. I also have a set of a katana, wakizshi, and tanto that a friend gave me when she packed up her life and moved on a moments notice.
I have an old machete that I inherited from my Grandfather 40 years ago.
He used it to chop down weeds and tall grass on the farm in areas too steep or rocky to grow crops. It’s on the wall in my garage, never had occasion to use it, but looking at it once in a while brings back some great memories of times with Grandpa on his farm.
A few. I have the bastard sword and wakizashi short swords from Badger Blades as well as the Dao from Condor. If you count machetes as a type of sword I have several Cold Steel models (Gladius, Seax, Chopper, and the large Kukri) as well as the Ka-Bar Kukri and Cutlass.
I have a blade collection started as a teen which is mostly medium and large folding knives, fixed blades of various sizes which absolutely outnumber my smaller folders, a variety of machetes and hatchets/axes, and obviously a few swords.
Most expensive was probably the Badger Blades wakizashi being around $450 followed by a tie between the bastard sword and the folding Benchmade full-sized Griptilian with added titanium handle scales from Flytanium at around $350. The bastard sword was bought at the Renaissance fair 20 years ago, it’s closer to $500 now.
I have a pattern 1796 heavy cavalry sword, carried at Waterloo. It’s modified to a spear point, giving it an edge on the top for back slashing. It’s a brutal weapon, a butcher’s weapon.
One of my best friends growing up bought me a Katana from a pawn shop for Christmas when I was like 18. Idk why he did that, but it was pretty funny and we had fun dicking around doing dangerous shit with it lol. 3 years later a really dumb and incompetent, but nice guy I worked with majorly fucked up, but I covered for him and helped him fix it so the next day he came to work and gave me a blunted arming sword he bought online so that was kinda weird but cool lol. Around when I turned 27 I got into blacksmithing, and I’ve been doing that for about 3 years now and I’ve made a LOTR inspired elvish falchion that I think turned out pretty good, a small cutlass that I’m still working on the guard on that I think is coming along well, and I’m working on a longsword that has been very frustrating. I’ve got the general shape down, but its not straight at all, the edge is wavy as hell, and its got a couple deep, wiffed hammer strikes. So I guess I have 4.5.
I have a hand and half bastard sword that my father gave me, and a one handed arming sword that I bought at a renaissance faire. I also own a dagger, which I bought a matching one for my wife, as well as a pair of twin daggers with screws in the hilts so you can turn them into one double bladed dagger.
I used to have two. First is a Angus Trim AT1215 worked over by Christian Fletcher. I still have this one.
Second was an Albion Gaddhjalt which was so nice I never wanted to actually use it for cutting or anything else. I guess it’s kinda like owning a really nice collector car that is too nice to even drive. I sold this one. Kinda miss it but not really.
I left a sword in my room when I moved out. It might still be there if my family didn’t move it. Looks cool, but now living in Japan, I am under constant ninja attacks, and my sword was left 12 time zones away.
I’m Sikh and a duty imposed by my religion requires one to carry a sword on them only to be used for the protection of the weak and the oppressed. Besides carrying a 6-inch kirpan on my body at all times, I also have the following at home:
An 8 inch katar (push dagger from india)
A 30 inch curved tulwar (indian sword)
A tabar axe (sikh battle axe)
A few chakkars (steel quoits worn on the turban used to protect against head strikes and also used offensively by throwing towards the enemy)
One viking age replica and an indian sabre of unknown kind (inherited). Sleep next to large hunting knife because I’d like to fantasise myself using it in case of intruders.
No swords yet sadly but I have a dagger from Windlass, got it for Christmas a couple years ago.
I want to own a proper medieval sword and pirate style Cutlass some day. My local Tractor Supply also has a decent sized section for knives and stuff and one of the brands there sells spears and axes that I would love to buy.
I have about 5 plastic ones. They are all my 4 year old son’s. I would love a katana. I do have a couple of kick ass axes/hatches. One is a viking replica.
I own 5 historical swords/sabers that are various centuries old (one is probably ancient as the late roman empire and it was used as practice sword by younglings). They all came from my dad who was a collector. I do not know exactly their value but I presume is very very high.
Since my bf don’t have any swords, I’ll answer on behalf of both of us since we hopefully will live together after a while : a two handed sword and a dagger. Hopefully more to come
Comments
I had a wooden sword that I made as a 5 year old with my grandfather when he taught me some basic woodworking.
I actually looked for it last month and couldn’t find it sadly

Budd sword from Kill Bill lolz
Katana… Turkish scimitar…. Bokken…
Honestly, though a machete is technically not a sword, I’d probably reach the machete first.
I have a couple of Katana and an old Spanish sword with some Spanish writing on the blade. It’s got a curved blade, I believe it’s a cutlass style blade but not 100% sure if that’s right.
Been collecting weapons for 38 years. Have an armory at this point
Does a manchette and a comically oversized pocket knife count? 🙂
I have an old WWI style bayonet from my parents attic. It’s not sharp or for home defense. I just think it’s neat.
Just the meat sword. I haven’t even practiced with it in a long time. I’ll show myself out sir.
I have like 13. My hobby is bladesmithing…. so it’s obvious as to why.

It’s an authentic battle ready medieval sword. I oil it as needed.
If I had to categorize it I’d say it’s a bastard sword.
Can be wielded with one hand or two.
I have an old machete that I inherited from my Grandfather 40 years ago.

Biggest and most wicked looking one I have is a 52 inch broadsword.
I have named it……. “Kindness”
I have a hand and half bastard sword that my father gave me, and a one handed arming sword that I bought at a renaissance faire. I also own a dagger, which I bought a matching one for my wife, as well as a pair of twin daggers with screws in the hilts so you can turn them into one double bladed dagger.
I have 2 katanas, a wakizashi, tanto. I have a bunch big knives. and a tone of knives
In my pants. Shortsword
I have a cane sword because I need a cane and it’s cool to have a sword. Except everywhere I go people ask me if it’s a cane sword and it’s annoying.
An arming sword, a decorative yet functional katana, two gladii, a trio of sabers, a chokuto, and a broken
A replica katana and a few Lightsabers lol
I used to have two. First is a Angus Trim AT1215 worked over by Christian Fletcher. I still have this one.
Second was an Albion Gaddhjalt which was so nice I never wanted to actually use it for cutting or anything else. I guess it’s kinda like owning a really nice collector car that is too nice to even drive. I sold this one. Kinda miss it but not really.
I left a sword in my room when I moved out. It might still be there if my family didn’t move it. Looks cool, but now living in Japan, I am under constant ninja attacks, and my sword was left 12 time zones away.
Do light sabers count?
I’m Sikh and a duty imposed by my religion requires one to carry a sword on them only to be used for the protection of the weak and the oppressed. Besides carrying a 6-inch kirpan on my body at all times, I also have the following at home:
Old British cavalry saber.
Full sized heron marked sword, an official wheel of time blade from around 20 years ago. It’s unsharpened however.
My parents had it and now my brother; it is my great grandfather’s RN dress sword from ~1895.
I have Sephiroth’s sword. It’s a replica.
I also have a replica of Kratos’ Leviathan Axe.
I have a fencing foil, found it in my house when I moved in.
I have a Toledo sword from when I visited Spain as an exchange student. I also have a machete I bought for yard work but never use it for yard work.
20 years as actor and in reenactment… Medieval markets, renfaires and such 😊
A Bidenhander, a one-handed sword and a dagger, a Shashka (Hungarian saber), a Rapier. All capable for stage fight.
A 200 year old Katana, a Wakizashi replique, two short swords from the Dominican Republic (forgot their name).
And a custom lightsaber as collectible.
I have about 5 plastic ones. They are all my 4 year old son’s. I would love a katana. I do have a couple of kick ass axes/hatches. One is a viking replica.
Butterfly swords. Perfect for close combat indoors.
who the devil has a bloody sword in there domicile bloody plebians
i have a morning star like all proper gentlemen….
and maybe a couple of katana in the shed
No sword but a Kukuri Machete. I use it for landscaping and training.
I have an official licensed reproduction of Long Claw from Game of Thrones. Looks neat.
A star wars light saber custom made, with sound and all
I own 5 historical swords/sabers that are various centuries old (one is probably ancient as the late roman empire and it was used as practice sword by younglings). They all came from my dad who was a collector. I do not know exactly their value but I presume is very very high.
I have 2 sword bayonets for my arisaka. One’s a late war original and the other’s an early war reproduction
Does cutlery cunt?
Since my bf don’t have any swords, I’ll answer on behalf of both of us since we hopefully will live together after a while : a two handed sword and a dagger. Hopefully more to come
