Imo more than 1 is too much
If I can smell you without being 1 foot from you, it’s too much. The point of cologne (and perfume) is to have it be subtle or necessitate physical closeness to smell it. It’s mysterious and something you want to smell more.
If you load it on I either assume you actually smell bad and are trying to cover it up, or that you’re literally 12… and probably smell bad.
For me? There’s never too much 🥰 I can never get enough of a good smell!

I shouldn’t be able to smell it unless I’m standing very close to you. If you walk into a room and I smell it, it’s too much.
I use 2 squirts of perfume. I’d say never more than 2 as a general rule and that’s for the whole day.
My roommate sprays some and I can smell it for literal minutes after he leaves a room. It’s WAY too fucking much.
I’m very sensitive to scents. But also it depends on the product (perfume only need one sprits, while cheap ass stuff isn’t as strong and can be spritzed more).
But imagine where you’ll be. If in an elevator or public transport and stuck with strangers, they don’t wanna die from for the scent being too strong. (Same rule as BO). If you have more spacial distance, then it’s not as big of a deal.
Personally, I prefer a clean washed person with neutral deodorant, than overly marinated in scent.
But that’s just me.
Less is more. Otherwise tacky and trying too hard. Makes me want to get away from you. 1-3 sprays max depending on how powerful the scent is.
You don’t need any. I step back from perfumed/cologned people. I know they think they smell wonderful but many are turned away by this.

Any amount is too much. My sinuses burn and I feel sick to my stomach and all perfume smells pretty much like pinesol.
