My (21M) grandpa told me that his dad never told him that he loved him growing up. He was a good man but he was never emotional and personal.

May sound cliche, but he didn’t need to. He always made me feel that way. I just knew. Though we are now older, he says it every time I go to my parent house.

But when he was around he used to whisper it in my ear while I was falling asleep.
