Most people now at days are more informed thanks to the internet. However, also because of the internet, many people are very misinformed and believe in conspiracy theories. And they take memes as gospel.
Generalizing a lot about Brazilians, a lot indeed, Brazilians know little about the rest of the world, they are very focused on their own country and region, but they are willing to learn if it is presented to them in an interesting way.
A friend of mine, a foreigner, a geography teacher, said (I generally agree with him) that:
A- Brazilians with lower incomes have a greater knowledge of geography than foreigners of the same social class, and those with higher incomes are the opposite: they know less than their money could provide.
B- The most educated Brazilians, regardless of income, know more about the rest of the world than the average he has experienced in other countries.
Very little informed. Even the "serious" dominant media groups doesn’t really give 1 fuck and inform really little about international news. You can get information about Ukraine-Russia and Palestine-Israel and some USA news but this information is very poor, dated and is not much.
Not a big percentage of the population go out of their way to inform themselves on international sites.
I think the rest of the latin americans have at least some opinion about othere latin americans, brazilians are really self centered, and besides Argentina, ppl really don’t know much outside their country borders

not very informed. better informed than Chile. Not better informed than someone in a less insular country like Mexico or Colombia.
Argentina is in its own world.
too much and not enough

As informed as the average person outside the country, which is not very much.
No mucho
Also, it depends on the quality of information people are getting.
It’s hard to tell, we tend to generalize based on our own social circles. Better than Americans though, haha.
I like to think our geography classes in school were pretty good, but I might be biased, someone correct me if I’m wrong.
So yeah, I said a lot and answered almost nothing. I’m more curious about other people’s points of view.

Hah
Not a whole lot. People have a passable knowledge of basic geography, but don’t really follow world events unless they are directly concerned.
Not particularly surprising given our isolation.
Ummmmmm………I would say not much. Bunch of dumb fuckin rednecks

In brasil, pretty woeful. Majority only know about brasil and America :/
