How to start feeling more mature?

r/

I’m 17, but I’m 18 this year. But I don’t feel like I’m at that age…I feel like I’m still 14….What do I need to start doing to feel more mature? How can I gain life experience?

Maturity isn’t a feeling. Just keep living your life, taking chances, seeking kindness, and learning from mistakes. Maturity will come naturally

I’m about to turn 43…and I’ll let you know. LOL

Honestly, I think everyone feels 16ish. I’m just a very organized 16 year old.

Maturity mostly comes with experience—it’s not something you can force overnight. There’s nothing wrong with still being in tune with your younger self, as long as you’re not out here acting like a clown in public. If you’re not being childish in a disruptive way, then you’re fine. You’ll grow into it naturally over time.
