I’m curious and wanted to know from LE, so my cousin is going to jail, but she has a bad attitude, the type that thinks she’s tough, etc. I’ve never been in jail so I’m wondering how will that go for her?
How will it be for my cousin going to jail with a bad attitude?

There will be women in there who will straighten her out if she goes in thinking she’s tough.
She’ll learn really fast about jail hierarchy. Humbles the lost souls well.

Deputy at a county jail here. That attitude doesn’t get you very far at all; being uncooperative will be highly inconvenient for her. At my facility, if you’re uncooperative during booking we can keep you in a basic cell, no bench, bed, blanket, etc but just food and water for up to 72 hours. We rarely hit that mark though. Start a fight and it’s immediate lockdown. Start a fight with the deputies and you’ll find yourself in the WRAP, and quite possibly tased during the altercation or OC’d. But we rarely resort to Taser or OC as we can usually handle it pretty efficiently with overwhelming force.
Long story short, a bad attitude is not advisable in jail.
Depends on the jail & what block she goes to. Jail and prison are also different. I’m also a guy so idk. The only thing that remains the same in jail vs prison is death row, other than that it varies by cell block.
Source: I went to George Hill in Delaware county, Pa for a month in 2019. The same jail Biggie went to lol spent 4 days in the intake holding cell, 5 days on the intake cell block, then went to my official cell block.

Not at all. When I was in county had a guy with a bad attitude we had several sit downs with him and eventually he had no one to talk to. Don’t screw with the CO’s they bring that back on us. My experience generally pretty nice people though. Checked the roster the other day and seen he was in there and kinda felt bad for them. That’s how much they disliked him.
