what the hell do I care what people do with their bodies and their money?!

    That’s not my business.

Unless they were harming themselves, had major body dysmorphia, or going into intense debt for it, I would not care.

It’s their body, their money, their choice. I’m not their parent and they’re not a minor, none of my business. If I was concerned that their many surgeries were the result of mental health issues, I’d try to talk to them gently and supportively about their overall wellbeing rather than commenting on anything to do with their body.

If it makes them look horrendous or affects their quality of life I would gently bring it up to them. Otherwise I don’t care what they do. If it got so bad to the point that I felt it was obsessive and talking didn’t help, I’d distance myself

depends on the vibe. are they happy? concerned? I’d probably check in and see how they’re feeling, both physically and mentally. hoping that they’re doing it for the right reason for them

I’d stop by and see how they are doing.

A friends job is to be a mirror for the things we can’t see. If it were my bestie I would sit down and have a serious talk about their priorities and maybe get to the root of why they think they need to do this and support them through it
