My boyfriend and I are staying at and Air B and B pre-setup tent site. It’s a bit confusing to explain, but it’s a display tent set up that is for sale behind the warehouse and is in a small village with other tee-pees and yurts for sale. The idea is people can stay in them and then if they like them can buy one.
We reserved a private tent and we were not informed that the host was around or needed to stop by for any reason. We picked this spot because we booked a last minute trip and needed something quick and practical. It was hot in the tent, so I unzipped two of the window flaps so that there was just a screen. I also propped open the two front door flaps with the clips so that fresh air could flow through the screen. You could not see into the tent unless you came up closer onto the deck. I had been taking my dirty clothes off from the day and was changing into a pair of pajama shorts to lay down for a short nap. A man came up from behind the tent and had clearly been staring at the tent for a minute before he came up towards the front of the tent where my boyfriend was sitting in a chair on the deck and announced himself. He slowly walked closer to the front of the tent and chatted for a minute or two with my boyfriend before announcing that he was an Airbnb host for the property.
He sounded very nosey and was staring into the tent like a curious guest. There are two hosts for the property, so so far we’d only been in communication with one of them not this man. Not only do we find it weird that he continued to peer into the tent and get closer and closer when you could see that I was lying down, shirtless trying to rest, but my boyfriend tried to block his view, and he continued to look around his shoulder. We are not sure what to do because we find it weird that the host got so close to an obviously open tent with someone inside trying to seek privacy and that he didn’t initially announce that he was a host.
What should we do?

Complain ? 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Maybe Report or adverse comment if the site is listed as Privacy should definitely be respected no matter what.
In this scenario it stands to reason you are exposed to passers by.
There are tons you can do on social media to ruin the reputation of someone being a peeping tom. You could also ruin the reputation of the business in a lot of online reviews.
Those are options best reserved for when you leave the establishment.
I used to manage an air bnb… as a guest I’d be contacting air bnb, and I’d be telling them I’m packing up, leaving, and would like a refund. Regardless of what air bnb say, I’d still be packing up and getting the heck out of there. Super creepy.
Lodge a complaint. Obviously this host is a pervert.
Report it as an invasion of privacy and request alternative accommodation
