When ever I drive by people that are hanging out outside their house I will honk my horn and wave with excitement. I never know the people. I just find it funny for them to look at each other and ask “who was that”! I wonder if they make guesses as to who it was. I my way of a harnless prank.

🤣🤣🤣, I’ve been doing this for years. You just know people spend the day trying to figure out how they know you
My partner does this. Lol every time we’re driving. I always ask him “WHO was that!?” His reply “no idea I just think it’s funny”.
It’s called spot the friend. Best done from a marked police car.
I think it’s cute, but tbh I get anxious when I hear someone honking like that behind me yk.
I think you and me would be good friends.
That’s hilarious
i do that too. live action trolls.
Yup, been doing that for year’s. I’m from socal and normally you can’t just say hi to anybody.
But I got to live in the Carolinas for a few years and everyone says hi no matter what at all times of day.
So, I brought the southern hospitality back home and I totally fuck with people with a slight honk, a smile and a wave. Sometimes they respond with a smile and a hey! Sometimes nothing but a look of confusion? Sometimes they come running after ya! Idgaf I’m saying Hi and what’s up to everyone so they can chill the f out.
I just give a casual double toot and wave
My husband and I do this🤣🤣🤣 we figure it makes their day to be waved at 😜
Aha! ‘Twas YOU who honked at me the other day when I was walking along minding my own business. I was bewildered.
😎
Hilarious! I like you already! I love harmless pranks. My friend and I used to get into elevators and talk shit to each other. Usually about the child support he owes me, me cheating constantly, that Valtrex script he kept forgetting about. The list goes on.
I participate in this tradition as well. But i find hanging on the front stoop or in the drive way kinda odd. We use our backyard for privacy.
I can’t stand honkers
Haha I used to do this in my old hometown whenever I saw someone walk into the sex shop.
I do it to a roadside farm guy so much that I feel like I kinda know him now and should stop and say hi one day.
It’s always nice to be polite. You might get hired at a job somewhere and see them there and they know you, as the nice person that always honks and waves. It’s happened to me and helped me with my coworkers knowing I am personable and welcoming.
that’s one way to say you don’t live on the south side
I like to do that, and put my hand up to my head like it’s a phone and mouth “call me!”
I like this, but I tend to wave to the opposite side of the road, which is truely perplexing to the party goers.
Thats weird
im glad youd wave after startling me because there are a few screamers that come a way
I do something similar. I honk at people just to get them to turn and look at me, then I proceed as if it wasn’t me that honked. I love seeing peoples reactions
Do you mean enthusiastically?
Or did you mean aggressive?
My uncle and his family would smile and wave at random old people in traffic to confuse them
lol that’s funny. I’m originally from a small town in Iowa. Growing up it was normal to see people sitting on their front porch and we even did it after supper. Usually dad would sit out there drinking with us kids while mom cleaned up the supper cooking. Every time my dad would be driving he’d honk while passing by someone’s house and tell us kids to wave hi to the Weber’s or whatever their last name was.
I don’t see them as much anymore but I used to honk and wave at the Mormons on their bikes. The kids in my city on their assigned mission. I had absolutely, 100%, nothing against them and they always waved back. Seriously kind of made my day better.
I love this game. My goal is to get them to wave back
When I was a teenager my friends and I would honk at people who were walking and then wave in the opposite direction when they looked at us.
I have had this happen to me many times and I finally understand why.
I love this. I might start doing it too
OMG I have been doing this as well for the past 38 years!!
Honking well get you shot in some places.
Oooooh… someone doing that makes so much more sense than me having a doppelgänger around town
