I am being blackmailed. Help.

r/

I sent someone nudes amd they are blackmailing. They took screenshots of my disappearing messages somehow and I don’t have my face on them or sth but it is clearly me and I am ass up on my knees and you can see the walls and the curtains of my house (my parents house). I am in the middle east and they have the phone numbers of everybody in my family. I already gave them 400$ and now I am out of money and they ask for more. What should I do

Hey, first of all, breathe. I know it feels like your world is falling apart, but you’re not alone and you can get through this
Now listen… stop engaging with the blackmailer. Don’t send another rupee. These people feed on fear and once they know they can scare you, they never stop
If your face isn’t visible, they don’t have solid proof. Even if they try to threaten or expose, most people who receive such content either ignore it or think it’s fake/scam. Shame is their weapon, don’t let them use it
Block them everywhere, report the account (Snap, Insta, wherever), ll and if you can, take screenshots of everything for your own safety record. Also, reach out anonymously to a cybercrime helpline in your country, they help more than you’d expect
You’ve already gone through a lot, but trust me, this doesn’t define you. You’re stronger than this mess. And no matter what, you deserve peace

Hey man, I’m sorry you’re in this situation but the best course of action will probably be to save all necessary messages from your interaction between them, contact and file reports on cyber crimes, block them and just disregard all of their advances. You sending them 400 dollars will make them want more from you and then it will be an endless thing. Please breathe and don’t do anything to harm yourself. This will pass and it will fade.

The biggest mistake was giving them money. What you should have done is simply block them. In 90% of cases, they move on because wasting time means losing money they’d rather target other, more easily influenced victims.

But now the problem is that you gave them money, and a lot of it. So now they know it’s possible to break you. Even if you block them, they’ll probably keep going and might even carry out their threats.

First thing you do is stop engaging. Ignore them.

That includes sending them anymore money.

    DO NOT SEND ANYMORE MONEY.

I know its hard, but 9/10 these guys are always bluffing and don’t actually send anything.

You are going to be ok. These guys cannot hurt you, let alone even touch you. They are nothing, and you are something. They are parasites, living off of ruining people’s lives—- and you have an actual life.

Don’t let them have power over you—because when you think about it, they don’t actually have any real power over you at all. Especially if you have kind, understanding parents and friends.

Most people wont event care about your nudes.

Did they actually tell you your parents phone numbers?

If they haven’t directly stated what their numbers are then they don’t have them. This is a scam, you’ll be fine I promise.

Hey I literally just had the same thing happen to me right before you posted this; it’s probably the same person, or same group of people. I explained to them that sexploitation is a serious crime and really they are putting themselves at risk. I also explained to them that Im not concerned because adults are able to differentiate between a victim of sexual exploitation, and a criminal who is clearly the one who is in the wrong. Nothing illegal or weird about sharing your nudes with someone consensually. Screenshot everything because this is the evidence you need to be identified as the victim of sexual exploitation – A police report needs to be filed, one with the FBI too cause it could be someone who’s not even in your country. If they notice a pattern of the same person doing this, the FBI is able to work their magic and and dedicate resources to acquiring their IP address, and our documentation would allow allow charges to be filed against them, especially if they are actually in the states. Never give someone money, always be weary of people who insist on communicating with telegram, and keep your privacy settings limited so that it’s not publicly accessible.

bro you sent them 400? i’ve been tried to be blackedmailed before and i just say go ahead and leak em what do i care? everyone be sending nudes and shit i mean sure it’s not funny and the damage can be irreversible but the damage is only bad as we make it out to be in reality if someone is to blackmail your photos its sad on their part and best course of action is to tell authorities and give them all the information you have on them. sorry lost out on 400 stay calm don’t give anymore

Just ignore it. Don’t ever give money to anyone who blackmails you. You will be ok. Just lie and claim it is AI if anyone asks.

You made a mistake. Making a second mistake won’t fix the first. Completely disengage with the scammers. There’s a good chance you’re not worth their effort and they’ll move on to the next victim. If you send them more money, they’ll just keep making demands. It sounds like you’ve got plenty of deniability. I’m sure plenty of people around you have similar curtains. All you can do is take a breath and make a smarter choice next time.
