Hey Reddit, I’ve got an exciting update!

If you saw my last post, I (23M) was trying to figure out if my crush, Hailey (26F), actually liked me back. Hailey is a regular at my store, and over the past few months, things have been getting real flirty. I’m talking hugs, holding hands, and lately… kisses. Yep. Actual kisses.

The first kiss happened while I was on the floor putting produce away, very romantic, I know. We kind of locked eyes, zoned out, and kissed like we were the only two people in the world. I thought my manager didn’t see us. But in hindsight… I’m like 80% sure he did. Whoops. 😅

Anyway, I came to Reddit for help decoding the signals. Y’all gave me some really solid advice and a confidence boost, so yesterday I decided to just go for it. I asked Hailey out. My heart was thumping, my brain was screaming, and my voice probably cracked halfway through, but she smiled and said yes.

We’re hanging out this weekend and honestly, I’m buzzing. Part of me is nervous, but the bigger part is just thrilled. I’ve had feelings for her for a while, and now it’s finally out in the open.

So yeah, big shoutout to everyone who helped me get out of my own head. I’ll report back after the date. Fingers crossed I don’t trip over something or spill water on her or whatever awkward thing my brain is cooking up next.
