I broke the lease on my apartment I’ve paid my last month there. The landlord is threatening legal action to make me pay a month I’m not gonna be there but it doesn’t say I have to pay once I break my lease and all current months I’ve stayed there are paid.

Were you month to month or still in the lease period? If the latter, how many months are left in the lease? What exactly is the verbiage in your lease about breaking the lease/moving out early? It would be unusual for a typical lease to allow the tenant to simply break the lease without any fees or paying for the remaining months of the lease.
What is the exact procedure you went through to break the lease? When did you move out, and what is the last month you paid in rent? What does the lease say about early termination?
Give a call to a lawyer specializing in housing willing to work pro bono. If that’s exhausted, then brush up on the lease front and back, familiarize yourself with the housing laws of your state, have documentation of everything and prepare for the worst.
This guy might be harassing you and he may count on you being too scared or strapped for cash to bring in a lawyer or do your research.
Best of luck, I am not a lawyer and am only advising you on what “I” would do.
