For context, this isnt illness related.
I just need to eat so much and idk what to do. My bloodwork and everything is fine, I’m not lacking everything, but once every few days I could eat a fucking horse or two. And the “would u eat an apple?” trick doesnt work. I would eat ANYTHING. I dont know how to stop this?? Any ideas??
I cant stop eating and its really bad

I would speak to a doctor. It sounds like you might have an eating disorder.
If you haven’t alredy done so, I would consider speaking to a doctor in case there is some eating disorder involved.
If you are concerned about eating unhealthy I would stock up on healthy options and prepare salads and fruit salads ahead for isntance soo that when you feel peckish you don’t go for ulltra processed foods.
You might be in fact opting for foods that may make you more hungry e.g. sugars?
Binge eating is a very real thing. Your doctor can help connect you with a counselor who specializes in food, or medication to reduce the urges.
Need more details before any true ideas.
I’ve had the same issue but I guess I’d have to first ask: Age, Sex (if that’s not intrusive), Hight and how long has this been a thing? Are you generally a normal weight or are you gaining weight?
Are there specific triggers or is it just always? Do you have anxiety in general? Is it at certain times or no matter what? What are you eating?
There’s a chance it could indeed be disordered eating (I had major issues with BED at once point. I could eat 2 large pizzas in a sitting easy. I often ate two family bags of chips each evening and much much more. Estimated 6000-9000 calories per day at one point of my life).
But simply eating a lot isn’t disordered unless it is which is why I ask the above questions. If you’re say, a male, 16-19yo, 6’3”, 210lbs you might just have a high metabolism. If you’re 25F, 300lbs and can’t figure out how to stop that’s a very different thing.
I want to clarify that that isn’t to enforce body or gender stereotypes but rather to illustrate differences in physiology by using every extreme I could think of. Sex for example (metabolism and muscle composition), age (hormones), hight (skeletal and muscle mass) etc. There’s a whole spectrum in between the two. Nobody asked for this disclaimer but alas haha
With more info I can (unofficially) guide further but could also be worth speaking with a doctor about. There are medications and stuff that help too. Vyvanse for example is used for ADHD but also for binge eating (I didn’t use it for that but my general eating habits and or substance habits dropped overnight when I started Vyvanse—just for anecdotal example).
Edit: I saw your other post saying you’re 20, normal weight supplement B12, Vit D, Vit C and Iron as well as a protein heavy diet. Also very notably you mentioned CPTSD and bone paid in the last 5 days that was enough to make it so you couldn’t move your arm. You also mentioned for years you’ve only slept 3hrs at a time and also that you couldn’t sleep for 16hrs if nobody interrupted you.
The issue likely lies somewhere in here tbh, I can’t speak on CPTSD too heavily as that’s complex but fits into the anxiety question. The sleep thing is actually huge (sleep has a MAJOR effect on your health and eating habits… like the things people say about sleep are true even if you function on less)
I’m more curious now because I also used to have the same sleeping issues around the same time (when I was closer to 20 as well) as my major eating issues.
If you can give any more info I might be able to loosely guide you in a direction in which to explore with your doctor (tho again, not medical advice)
This sounds like binge eating disorder.
Nicotine patches curb appetite.
Does your body ever tell you you are full when you are eating? Or are you never full? See a doctor about this please. It could be something not triggering properly in your body that needs to be monitored.
How old are you?
Odds are you’re having a rapid growth spurt and your body is burning calories like CRAZY.
Binge eating disorder. Maybe it’s a coping for something deeper?
Did they run a full panel on your bloodwork? Because when I get like this, I’m usually missing some vitamins or something
If it’s not related to illness, it might be emotional eating. Could be worth exploring stress or boredom triggers.
I had the same problem
I don’t know how your experience was, but mine was weird. I started eating nonstop, even when I felt my stomach completely full I continued.
I wasn’t eating all that because I’m hungry, I actually don’t even know the reason, I just startes mindlessly eating…
I still haven’t talk to a professional, but I’ll soon will
