I didn’t invite my mom to my gender reveal and she ignored it

r/

Today my friend hosted a small gender reveal party for me and i didn’t invite my mom. She’s in another state right now.
I sent the pictures to my family group Facebook’s messenger , just want to announce it and hope they can be happy for me. As a result, my mom ignored it and deleted all the pictures and messages from her end (I have access to her Messenger so i saw that) and not mention anything. Only my elder brother family said congrats.

I’m kinda sad about it. The deleted pictures and messages is new to me lol. It’s like she just want to ignore and pretend it never happens. We had a big fight about how she wants to control everything including my delivery and I went low contact. But we do talk through Facebook Messenger sometimes. I just don’t know why she can’t just say congrats and went straight to ignore it… ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

That sounds really painful Iโ€™m sorry you’re going through that, especially during such an important time in your life. Setting boundaries with a parent is never easy, and itโ€™s even harder when they react by withdrawing or ignoring milestones. You absolutely deserve to be celebrated and supported right now. I hope you’re surrounded by people who lift you up and are excited for you because this is a big, beautiful moment.
