When I see a huge diamond, I can’t help but wonder if it’s real. They look fake to me. A 14 mm across round diamond is kind of obscene looking. I don’t get the whole concept of laying out 8 or 10 thousand dollars on a ring when you could put that money toward a down payment on a home.
They seem to be all the rage in the wedding subs. Stones that almost reach the knuckle.
You can’t live in a diamond.

I dunno if the opinion is unpopular but okay.
someone’s trying to cope because their ring is small lol
I like the idea of expensive engagement rings because it’s protection if the would-be husband bails or if the relationship falls apart. You’ve invested your time in this relationship for nothing and especially with the biological clock that time is valuable.
But I agree it doesn’t have to be big, smaller rings can be more valuable.
I do think people need to get more creative with gemstone variety, why always diamond? Because of an ad campaign your grandma remembers?
My wife likes gigantic engagement rings and she can beat you up so theres that…
