This is probably a basic ass confession but whatever. I literally couldn’t give less of a fuck about the sights at a place. The only exception is maybe zoos and museums but I despise when my parents are talking about going on vacation somewhere and try to get me to go they’re like “Oh but there’s the sights” like I don’t care?? Why the hell would I wanna go to North Carolina to look at the grass??
It gets so annoying cuz I will be literally arguing about why I don’t want to go and my mom will tell me about some cliff I couldn’t care less about like no I don’t wanna see the fucking “Devils Weiner tip mountain” I wanna go to an aquarium

You seem to have more enjoyment with animals, which I can understand can be a comfort for you, but you should sympathize with your parents’ enjoyments. Besides, it’s not so different after all since you get to witness where the animals truly lived at one point. It’s not just about the “sights”, but also about the experience that your parents feel when standing somewhere that used to hold significant meaning for other animals and people and once had its very own story behind it. I understand it can feel frustrating, but your parents only love you and want the best for you while spending time with you as much as they can. It might sound cringe to you, and if so, you shouldn’t see it like that.
Don’t take my message as something negative, and you don’t have to take it as positive either. Just take it as something to think about. I’m here to help. As you grow up, you will realize how much your parents are truly worth, especially in your childhood, and you shouldn’t take for granted the time you have with them, because you already have a limited time left, and it is only just counting down from this moment.
I suggest you go with them where they want you to join them for. Not because it’s fun for you, but because it’s fun for them, and that in itself will be fun for you the more you do it as you grow up.
I’m really just here to laugh at Devil’s Weiner tip mountain. I guess sight seeing isn’t for everyone, but I never got to go anywhere when I was living with my parent’s (they even loled when I wanted to go on class trip) so now I spend all my adult money on vacations and looking at shit.
