I do not like sugarcoating

r/

I like when people be honest with me instead of lying to make me feel good and stuff like that. Everytime I have a “Good looking kind conversation” I feel very uncomfortable. And I Hate forced laughts. We are talking about honesty so give me ur honest opinion about it.

It depends totally on the relationship between you and the people you’re talking to.
If it’s with friends I can relate with you that I can’t stand contrived, fake conversations, but with an acquaintance it could easily come off rude to be brutally honest.

I don’t like sugarcoating, it’s just hard not to with people you don’t know. I agree though, honesty is the best policy.

Honestly, most of us love a little ego boost when people say things nicely to us even when we know they’re being fake. That’s how how our minds work. People say they want to have genuine feedback or need someone to give it to them like it is but deep down, what we really want is someone who is good at making us feel special and make it sound genuine. I would have had more friends if I’d known this earlier. Most people can’t handle genuine criticism.
