Alright, I know this might ruffle a few feathers, but I’ve always struggled to see the appeal of David Bowie — particularly that song Changes. Everyone around me seems to treat it like gospel, but whenever it comes on, I find myself quietly seething
It’s that “Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes” bit — it’s catchy, sure, but it just feels a bit… grating?

*shrug* Art is so incredibly subjective that while people will disagree with you, it doesn’t make you wrong. The number of popular bands and singers I don’t like always baffles people (though in my case a lot of it comes from aural overstimulation; it’s extremely difficult for me to process language when there’s background noise, so I don’t like combining instrumental and vocal music).
I’m same with The Beatles
Why do think people care about your taste in music?
i like it, it reminds me of shrek 2
I agree. I also do not like his music. That can’t be unpopular. So I have to downvote
Have you seen Labyrinth?! 😅
That’s not an unpopular opinion as much as it is having preferences. Though I do agree Changes is far from his best song.
I feel the same way about Bob Dylan.
“Bowie, did you have one space suit when you went to outer space, or did you have several ch-ch-ch-changez!?!?”
Every musical unpopular opinion should be banned, it’s not even fun anymore to disagree.
That’s ok. You’re allowed to not like it.
Additionally, I can’t prove John Lennon isn’t singing the “turn and fave the strange” part, but I refuse to believe otherwise.
It feels like a cheesy 70s sitcom theme, not all of it but that chorus, always felt off for Bowie
