I really don’t like the façade of St Peter’s Basilica made by Maderno. The second floor windows (mezzanine) really throw me off. They have something that make me think of a mcmansion. I think Sangallo’s façade was way better.

I get what you mean. The second-floor windows on St. Peter’s just don’t vibe, they make it feel kinda off, like, too much going on, not in a good way. Sangallo’s design was way cleaner for sure.
