I don’t understand the hype of the movie “Little Women” (2019).

I’d like to consider myself a person who has good taste in movies (in a non pretentious way), and of course, we know art is subjective.

So when I first watched Little Women because of the raving reviews, (I did think it was a good movie mind you, it was easy to follow, good character development, etc.) I didn’t find it as groundbreaking as people sought or raved it be.

A majority of the reviews seemed to characterize it as a ‘movie they will never forget’, ‘touched the deepest parts of their heart’, ‘changed their lives’, etc. I just didn’t feel that way. It feels like a good movie but not a something that really rocked me to my core. Also mind you,I’m apart of the audience that can relate to each individual girl.

But if I were to rate it on a scale from 1-10, I would say I land on 7.

Can you change my mind, and inform me why it was SO groundbreaking/innovational?
