I don’t want food workers throwing in extras to my order to be nice. If I wanted more food I would’ve ordered more food.

It seems to be a universally loved comment when someone mentions working in fast food and “hooking up” orders by throwing extra food in the bag. Heaping the fries. Putting in 14 nuggets when the customer ordered 9, etc.

I do not want that. I order exactly what I wanted, if you stuff the container with extra food I am going to throw it out, not happily double my intake and end up uncomfortably full. I don’t want a heaping serving of extra fries that fill the bottom of the bag. I don’t want a many nuggets as you can stuff into the box. I don’t want 50 packets of mild sauce for my 1 burrito. Please just give me what I asked for. If I wanted more, I would’ve ordered more.

How often are you getting free stuff that you care about it this much? I’ve had it happen once or twice maybe.

This is probably the most unpopular of opinions I’ve ever seen. Free food is free food, if I’m full I’d just pack it away and eat it later, lol.

What if they put in 10 when you wanted 9?

“Oh sweet. Extra nuggets. I can save these for later” said the person who isn’t a deeply unhappy person.

Throw it out without thinking too hard? What genuine problem does it cause? I literally leave a bite or two left of my entree almost every time because I would be more full than I wanted. I throw anything I was given away at that point, no matter if it was extra or I actually paid for it.

It’s called leftovers. Nobody forcing you to throw it down the gullet. Other things you can do if you got extra is give it to friends/family.

Making a response post to another one posted here is not an unpopular opinion

If they give you too much food, save some for later. That’s literally a free snack/meal you’re getting out of it, at that point you literally have no right to complain
