Hello! Little backstory:
Im in LDR currently and we live in different countries with few cultural differences (nothing major). Partner lives with his mum solely to save up to buy our first house, im not working currently due to uni.
MIL visited my country and I must have compared two countries too much (I did not intend to hurt anyone because all I really compared was food stuff- we make everything from scratch here whereas my partners fam is more ready made meal fam) and the stuff we sell in shops, nothing serious.
At a random moment, when I shared my suprise with my partner that the same beer at his country does not taste anything like the one here, MIL made a very snarky comment and lovely facial expressions on top of that- pretfy much saying her country is good and I should shut up. She knows I love where my partner is from nor I hate the country, so it was very unwarranted imo.
Fast forward when they get back home- partner speaks with mil that she should not speak to me like this, MIL sends me a message saying that ,,I am not upset with you”. She did not acknowledge a bit about how she was rude to me in the table and now Im honestly so done with her. She has done shit what doesnt sit right with me in the past, so that was kind of my last straw.
I dont know what to do, because I visited his home a lot more due to his work, but I genuinely cannot stand my MIL and i dont know how to even go to her house after this.
