Backup of the post’s body: I never thought I’d feel like a third wheel at my own wedding… but here we are.
My fiancé’s best friend is basically planning everything with him, and I’m just watching from the sidelines. She’s been his best friend for over a decade. I get it they’re close and she’s been around longer than I have. But ever since we got engaged, it feels like the two of them are throwing this wedding while I just sign off on their choices. She helped pick the color scheme, the signature drinks, even designed the Pinterest board with him and didn’t include me. He says she “has great taste” and that she’s “just trying to help” but it honestly feels like he’s more comfortable planning with her than with me.
The other day, I found out he even showed her some of my wedding dress inspiration pics to ask what she thought… without telling me. I feel small. Like this isn’t our day anymore. Like I’m being sidelined in something that’s supposed to be one of the most meaningful moments of my life.
He doesn’t see the problem. He thinks I’m overreacting. And I’m scared that if I push back, it’ll turn into a fight or I’ll look insecure but staying quiet is eating at me.
Has anyone been through something similar? How do I talk to him without making it worse?
I don’t want drama I just want to feel like I matter in my own wedding.

Time to talk to fiance. If you can’t even do that, too immature to try married
