So I have almost done feeding my two year old a little cup of cottage cheese only to find a green blob. I thought it was mold – but I pulled it out and it was a fake acrylic nail + a little black hair to boot. I am so disgusted. The nail has softened which means it disintegrated and has leaked all the chemicals into this container which I fed my daughter. I called their customer service to complain and they offered me some coupons. I said no, I do not accept this as compensation for this and will be contacting an attorney. What should I do? I’m so disgusted and worried about what just went into my daughter’s system.

You want compensation for what exactly? Is your child ill or did you suffer any financial damages?
If your daughter ends up needing medical attention as a result of this, which seems unlikely, then you could have a case for reimbursement for those expenses. As of now, you can complain to them and they’ll probably give you some coupons or something. You’re only owed the cost of the product at this point.
Edit: I’m dumb and missed the part where you said you already rejected coupons. That’s absolutely all they owe you at this point.
That is gross.
Unless your child is provably harmed, they only owe you a refund. It’s definitely not worth hiring an attorney for a refund.
