I found out something horrible about my dad and I don’t know what to do

I was looking through my sister’s camera roll because she has screenshots of me and my friends’ chats about “boys.” It wasn’t anything bad, but I wanted to see if she had anything embarrassing about me hidden.

I wasn’t really expecting to find anything serious because my sister is a really good person she wouldn’t go out of her way to dig up dirt on anyone unless she saw something herself.

But while scrolling, I came across screenshots of WhatsApp chats where my dad was paying women for sex more than once, and with different phone numbers. The chats were from around November 2023.

For context: my dad moved away for work and my sister went with him to start college. She started in August or September 2023, and the chats she screenshotted were dated November 2023. According to the dates on the screenshots, my sister found them on January 15, 2024.

I didn’t know about any of this until now. I don’t know if my mom knows, and I don’t know if my sister ever told anyone. I’m only 14, and my family isn’t really the kind of family you can talk openly to about things like this, so I feel really stuck.

I don’t know what the right thing to do is should I tell my sister I saw the screenshots? Should I tell my mom? Or just stay quiet since it’s been months already?

I know going through my sisters stuff was inappropriate but any advice would really help.
