I started at this job only an year ago and it was always a stressful situation but I knew what I signed up for. It was a new career change for me. I thought I was doing okay, just doing my work and keeping my head down. I thought my manager and I had a decent relationship and they would emphasize how much they cared about me and was looking out for me. However, as time went on, they would dangle promotions in front of my face as a way to get me to listen, which I didn’t really think anything about as it is corporate setting and I guess I just assumed that’s how it was (this is my first corporate job). However, I recently found out that my boss had a group chat with other coworkers and gave me a very gross nickname. In the group chat itself, another member spoke about getting me fired simply because he just didn’t really like me. My boss didn’t really respond but it did look like they liked it and other members also liked it. I have never done anything to this coworker and I have been told by my boss to try and get along with him because I knew he didn’t like me so I simply never engaged with him. I emphasized that I would also like him to get along with me but my boss simply told me to just try harder and that I had to make more of an effort.
Finding out about this group chat really upset me because it claimed that I had a disease that I do not have and I never spoke about with my boss. Within the chat, I also realized that they also referred to another coworker of mine as another very gross nickname. I feel weirdly targeted as there were only two people referred to by a terrible alias and one of them was me. Everyone else mentioned in the chat was named outright.
Is there anything I can do?

Are the nicknames related to a protected class, such as race, sex, or religion? Or are they sexual in nature?
Possibly- what was the nickname? What was the disease?
