I go to a public school in Zürich, Switzerland. AMA.

Yeah, so basically, as the title says, I go to a public school in Switzerland. The reason I wanted to make this post was to see what outsiders thought of switzerland. Cuz its not all fairytales over here.

    1. What’s something about Swiss public schools that would surprise outsiders?
Like, are the classes super strict? Do students actually yodel in music class (kidding… kind of)?

    2. What do you think is overrated or misunderstood about Switzerland?
For example, is the whole “neutral and chill” vibe just a front?

    3. How do you feel about the pressure or expectations placed on students in the Swiss education system?
I know Switzerland tracks students into different paths pretty early—how does that feel from the inside?

    4. Do you get a lot of interaction with people from different cultural backgrounds at school?
Zürich is pretty international, but how integrated does it actually feel?

    5. What’s your take on cost of living and youth culture?
Can a teen in Zürich even afford to do fun stuff without rich parents?
