OP, idk why you’d post an AMA and then get mad when people ask very reasonable questions about you and your husband’s age gap.
5 years doesn’t look bad on paper but a 16 year old is a child that can barely drive and isn’t old enough to work some jobs or drink or smoke. They’re still in high school. They shouldn’t be getting married. And a 21 year old is grown adult that’s driving, working, old enough to be finishing college. The maturity gap is ALARMING and whether you want to admit it or not you are in fact a victim and I am so incredibly sad for you that your parents didn’t step in and stop this.

I won’t ask a question, just a family story I learned more details a few years ago. My mom is Swedish. My great-grandmother had my grandmother when she was 18. My grandmother (mormor) was sixteen when she got pregnant by my grandfather (morfar, 18).
My great grandfather kicked her out, saying he wanted nothing to do with her. They lived in Gavle, but when the due date approached, they took a 90 minute train to Stockholm where mom was born. When they got discharged, they took the train back.
Great grandparents met mormor with mom on the train platform. Morfar, scared, worked his way to the back of the train and snuck out and hid behind a pillar watching.
My great grandfather saw my mom, and…. All was forgiven. They raised my mom for years while my grandparents finished school and formally for married when mom was 4….
So, not a question, just a story that these things can go in many unpredictable directions, so e sad, so e surprising.
