It’s just a small baby mouse so i don’t have a trap set up but it’s gone into my room and I’m trying to sleep but I can hear it. I’ve put out a trail of cheese leading out of my room, i’ve made a bunch of noise and cleared space but I’m too scared to do much else. Is there anything I can do to help get it out!!!!

Get a box, piece of string, a piece of cheese, and a stick.
Tie the string around the stick. Place the box on top of the string so that one side is on the ground and the other side is being lifted by the box.
Place the cheese underneath the box.
Now when the mouse comes to eat the cheese, pull the string, so the mouse is underneath the box

Guys it left, it was lured out by the smell of 🍃 istg. I saw online that mice like the might smell so I had a few cones away from my room and then 5 minutes later it’s run out no lie. I’ve finally locked my room for the night but i’ll have to deal with it properly tomorrow. Thanks for the help tho!
Mice actually aren’t as into cheese as pop culture would have you believe. Peanut butter works much better.
Whatever you do, don’t offer it a cookie
You need to setup traps and exterminate them as much as it sucks. Mice carry disease and you’ll run the risk of fires and such because they chew electrical wires. They eat your food, chew through walls and furniture, piss and shit everywhere, and can carry fairly unpleasant diseases with a high chance of killing you or at least hospitalization if you’re unlucky enough to get sick
Regardless of how you deal with them they’re gonna die, because if you capture them and move them far enough that they can’t get back to your house (you’d have to move them at least 10km or 5ish miles) they will just starve to death anyway unless they find a food source immediately and then will still continue to spread disease and stuff
One mouse especially a baby means there’s a ton more. Idk what the most humane trap would be or maybe poison or something, it sucks having to kill the little critters, I love mice and rats but not wild ones
The trap I had most success with was a trashcan and a piece of wood on my counter balanced over it with peanut butter on the end over the trash can. When mouse gets to the goodies the wood falls in the can and you fill the can with water (but not so much that they can climb out) or something so they drown
Get rid of the trail of bate. Animals eat until they’re not hungry anymore so the animals not getting to your trap.
Get a good cheapie three dollar trap put peanut butter on it and wait for results
Set a trap. When you do wrap the catch (the thing you put bait on) with a small piece of gauze and then schmear the gauze with a small amount of peanut butter then set and place in the area you’ve seen the mouse. The gauze gets caught on the mouse’s teeth and increases the odd of trapping it.
Where is its mother and its siblings? Mice are smaller than you think so hopefully it is fully grow. Hopefully!
Place a empty bacon/ham packet into a deep bucket or bin (+/- 70cm deep) and put it close to a place the mouse can climb up. It will jump into the bucket and you can take it somewhere into the bush. Otherwise get a mouse trap or poison
