Is it affecting both eyes? Are they saying you will eventually end up going blind?
Does it hurt?
Uveitis?
How is this condition affecting your sight? You mentioned it’s being progressive, but how did it start? What was the first sign? How did you felt when you learned that there was no cure?
Myotonic dystrophy? Generally a muscular disorder, but quite rare, and in some cases vision is the first sign
Does it fall under the Cone Rod Dystrophy umbrella?
If you can I would trip up to Carson/ Reno and see Dr. Wolff at Sierra Nevada Eye Centers. He is a rockstar and I am sure would be all about figuring this out for you.

I’ve seen videos on Facebook of a guy who has an eye condition similar sounding to you. Paul has Retinitis Pigmentosa which causes his eyes to have pinhole vision, eventually leading to total blindness. Have you been tested for this?
