I have been bleeding since September of 2024

r/

and I’ve been seeing doctors for it since it at least started and all I have been given is different birth control, and every time I go in and say I’m still bleeding they just tell me to take my birth control in a different way like take a break for a month and start again or take it at a different time of day. Ive had two ultrasounds that are supposedly completely normal, so I suggested, maybe it’s my thyroid and my uterus just isn’t the problem. she said “I guess I’ll look but it’s going to be normal.” I can’t find a single doctor around here who’s won’t give me the excuse “well it take a long time for the birth control to work” but they don’t want to think about how my quality of life is total garbage right now. Constantly cramping, headaches, uncomfortable, can’t be intimate with my partner because there’s blood everywhere and constantly having to clean up after myself and constantly getting infections because I have to wear pads 24/7. It’s gotten to the point that I’ve just ruined all my underwear for the sake of a break from a pad

Oh my god, that sounds absolutely miserable. Have you seen specialists or just general practitioners? I’m not sure about insurance but is it possible to see a gynecologist? Get an MRI to check for endometriosis?

Have you tried the hormonal coil? That thins the lining of the uterus and stops periods in many women. Sorry if you’ve already tried this. My god, that sounds absolutely miserable; I really feel for you.
